Login required for public server
RustDesk edited this page 2026-04-17 17:54:48 +08:00

Due to ongoing scamming and botnet abuse, this public server currently requires users to log in before connecting.

Logging in is free and uses your existing Google / GitHub / etc. account — no separate RustDesk account needed; one is created automatically on first login.

Caution

At present, only controllers are required to log in (it is free).

If botnet abuse continues, controlled devices may also be required to log in. In that case, both the controller and the controlled device must be logged in under the same user account.

Or we can find a better solution for the controlled side without requiring explicit login.

e.g.

  • command line, --assign [code]
  • invitation link for one time support

RustDesk is designed to be self-hosted. This public server is provided for demonstration and testing only. Please do not use it for production or sensitive work.

The 32-bit Windows version does not support 3rd party login, you have to use https://rustdesk.com/web or self-host.

Please click on Settings icon of the main window as below.

Then go to Account and click on Login as below.

Choose the third-party login

Username/password login is not available on our public server. Please use the third-party login buttons (e.g. Google, GitHub) below. If they are not showing up, please wait a moment as it may be due to a slow network connection.
